Organiser Agreement
The terms for selling tickets on MyTickets: your obligations, ours, and how you get paid.
For organisers · 3 min read · Version 1.0, effective 29 August 2026
1.What this covers
This agreement applies to anybody listing an event on MyTickets. It sits alongside the Terms of Service; where the two differ on something specific to selling tickets, this one governs.
2.Your event is yours
You run it. You set the price, the tiers, the terms of entry and the age limit. You hold the licences and permissions it needs, and you carry whatever insurance is appropriate.
You are the buyer's counterparty. We provide the shop and the gate; the promise that the event happens is yours.
3.What you list
Everything on your event page must be accurate: date, time, venue, what is included, and any restriction a buyer would want to know before paying.
You must have the right to use the artwork and names you upload.
We may take an event off sale if it is misleading, unlawful, or the subject of a credible complaint, and we will tell you why.
4.Money and payouts
Buyers pay into our collection account. The balance owed to you builds up as tickets settle, less our commission.
You can withdraw to an M-PESA number or a bank account you have registered and we have verified. Transfer charges are shown before you confirm and come out of the payout.
We may hold a payout where there is a live dispute, a suspected fraud, or an event that has not yet happened and is under investigation. We will tell you why and for how long.
5.Refunds and cancellation
If you cancel an event, every ticket is refunded in full. Where your balance does not cover it, you owe us the difference and it is payable immediately.
You may offer more generous refund terms than the Refund Policy. You may not offer less than the law allows.
Chargebacks and payment disputes on your events are yours. We pass them on with the evidence we hold.
6.Complimentary tickets
You can issue tickets nobody paid for, individually or by uploading a guest list. They carry no commission and scan like any other ticket.
They are yours to account for. A hall papered with comps is a decision only you can make, and the analytics keep them separate from sales so the numbers stay honest.
7.Your attendees' data
We give you the contact details of people who bought tickets to your event so you can run the door and reach them if something changes. You become a data controller of that information.
Use it for that event and for what your buyers agreed to. Do not sell it. Do not market to people who did not opt in. The Data Processing Addendum sets out the detail, and it applies to you.
8.Your team
You can invite colleagues to your account and choose what each of them may do. An invitation is a link they use to set their own password — you never see it.
Everything done on your account is your responsibility. Remove people who no longer need access; suspending somebody ends their sessions immediately.
9.What we owe you
A working shop, a ticket that reaches your buyer, a gate that scans, and an accurate record of what sold.
Your money, less agreed commission, available to withdraw.
Notice before we change your commission, and before we make a material change to this agreement.
10.Suspension
We may suspend an account that breaches this agreement, that is being used fraudulently, or where we are legally required to.
Suspension takes every event you run off sale. Money already owed to you remains owed, less anything owed back to buyers.
11.Ending this agreement
Either of us may end it with 30 days' notice. Events already on sale must be seen through, and tickets already sold must be honoured.
