Fees and Charges
What MyTickets charges, and who it is charged to.

1.How our fee works
We charge a commission on tickets sold. The rate is agreed with each organiser and is set out in their Organiser Agreement — there is no single published rate, because a free community event and a stadium show are not the same business.
The commission is deducted before an organiser is paid out. It is never taken separately afterwards.
2.Who carries it
An organiser chooses whether to absorb the fee or to pass it to the buyer. Either way, the checkout shows the total before you confirm, and that total is what you pay.
Nothing is added after you have agreed a price.
3.Free events
Free tickets carry no commission. Complimentary tickets an organiser issues carry none either — no money moved, so there is nothing to take a share of.
4.Payout charges
Moving money out to M-PESA or to a bank carries a transfer charge from the provider. It is shown on the payout before it is confirmed and deducted from that payout.
5.Fees on a refunded ticket
When a ticket is refunded, the buyer gets the full amount they paid, fee included. The commission is reversed against the organiser.
6.Changing a rate
A change to an organiser's commission takes effect from a date we agree with them, and never applies to tickets already sold.
